There is also a children room near the front that is full of books and toys and is also monitored by staff for safety. Forgiving and flexible community college serving the people of Idaho living in the treasure valley. They offer many courses and programs, from certificates, vocations, to associates. The culture is relaxed and friendly, the admins and faculty are reasonable, but not a social school, I would recommend going here to get your studies started. The college sure isn't like a state university but the education is quality and affordable enough to get you going where you want to be. I would recommend going here for just your general education requirements, as they pretty much cover all the basics if you intend on transferring to a university next. Careful taking continuation courses or upper-division courses, because they don't have adequate resources to teach them. I would also recommend paying out of pocket, save your financial aid if you intend on transferring to a university next. Parking is free, soccer fields, and food vending areas, but not too many amenities.

Good stepping stone for starting college. Cheap tuition, small class sizes, and just about all my teachers were extremely knowledgeable and professional in their classrooms but knew when to be authentic as well. My only complaints are mainly what you'll get on every other college campus. A bad professor here and there, internet goes down a few times a semester, due to the size scheduling especially for non-traditional or full-time students can be difficult. However, overall the professors and administrative staff are polite and eager to help.

Nice and clean campus seems to be well organized, the technical department seems very organized with all the tools and the training necessary to be prepared for my job. The campus was so clean and so organized that I think I will sign my wife up so she can start classes in the fall. Idaho State University is a great place for higher learning and it is also accredited. It lies within the beautiful city of Pocatello Idaho, and has lots of classes, certificates and degrees you can accomplish, as well as free classes and materials for getting a G. E. D. Student passes or Id's, can get you discounts on all kinds of school supplies, some classes and lots of activities and events...non-students also enjoy several discounts and sales. It has several co-ed and private roomed dorms, cafés, parks, trails, friendly and learned people and lots of trees and hills. It's very scenic and it's near Scout Mountain, Mink Creek, Targhee National Park, downtown Pocatello, Salt Lake City Utah, Sun Valley Idaho and Yellowstone National Park, Montana...(west entrance). They have a discount theatre, plays, game rooms, bowling alley, Swimming pool, gyms, student lounges, exciting and adventurous activity's, a student union, playing fields, parks, trails and large outdoor common areas. It's pet friendly...leashes required, and is also the home to the Holt Arena, formerly known as the ISU Minidome.

Can't say enough about how lucky we are that we found this school. We live in rural Idaho, and coming from a Brick and Mortar, and then Gem Prep online, it is a night and day difference here. Rather than use IDLA for 60% of your classes, ITCA has actual teachers to teach these classes. And even Dual Credit certified teachers. We have had interaction with all of our daughters teachers. ALL of them are 100% available to us and to our daughter whenever we have questions or need help usually after hours. Each teacher outlines the weeks work. We think the key for any online, or brick and mortar school, is the student has to take accountability. Has to stay on top of work and be responsible for this. However, it takes great teachers to support this work ethic and almost promote it and praise it. Overall, you really get the impression every teacher really cares about their courses and takes it very seriously. They are true professionals in every way.

An amazing place to acquire an education. I fully believe that anyone that enrolls in Boise State can achieve what they set their minds to. The professors can provide anything you need (as long as it’s not the math department). I spent so many years at this University. I started at this university as someone who had already known the area really well. I thought I knew all the ‘ins and outs’ of any community BSU had to offer. I was as partially right as I was mostly wrong. The community here may seem like one that isn’t serious in most social ways but that is only because every student has a need to connect at this university outside of their studies. If i have learned anything from outside my studies it’s that the people are a major portion of your studies. The small connections we make could mean so much to us in our careers down the line. Stay at BSU and study hard. Talk to as many people as you can. Advance your future how you want. If this university isn’t for you, consider transferring and stay. You will have a great time with all of the people you connect with. You will find your way through avenues of education you may have never thought interesting to you. You might also find something you are good at that you enjoy, something we are all searching for. Whether it’s higher education, a nice place to spend hiking in the summer, a place to connect with communities of people you would never talk to otherwise, or simply a place to learn. Boise State University surprised me with all of those. I was greatful to spend so many years there. If you are considering applying, I say go for it and don’t look back. Looking back is fiscally responsible, but looking forward might reveal other things we have all been searching for in life.

I really like this library and have frequented it many times. I live across town from this way and have a library about 4 minutes from me, but that one is small and usually packed with children (understandably so). This branch is the downtown one and who doesn't like going downtown?!? It has 4 levels-- three for visitors and the top one is offices. There are lots of tables and quiet places to go and get your studies or project completed at. It's my go-to place when I have something I need to do without my children bugging me every two minutes. You can rent laptops there with your credit card-- they shoot out of a kiosk which is pretty cool. I think you may need your library card, too, but I'm not too sure. You can take a walk around the Ann Frank Memorial that is on the same grounds or down the street for lots of other fun stuff to do. As you can tell from the photos that I posted today, there are people lining up to get in during the day! I thought it was beautiful!

Recently had an opportunity to visit the library and it's very quaint and homey. It's on the smaller side but has a good size children's section. Computers are available for use as well as study rooms and printer/copier services. The staff is very friendly and sociable. The library belongs to a larger network and can easily transfer books between branches or request books from outside libraries if needed. Bonus this location offers Fit and Fall classes twice a week. All libraries are good- this one is Great. We can check out puzzles and board games, a 3D printer, STEM kits, self check out (which makes the kids feel very grown up), and we enjoy seeing Hammy the Hamster's change of environment at the main desk as the seasons change. Don't forget Project Warmth in the winter, when hand-knit and crocheted hats, gloves, and scarves made by the community are given out for free here at the library. Also the regular Library Sales where book lovers can stock up for bargain prices. Need internet or a photocopy? They got that too! Old magazines for free for a project? Covered. Or just walk through the sensory garden or enjoy the mosaic tile exterior walls. Love, love, love.

I’ve lived in Utah, Arizona, and Idaho and have always had a public library card. What’s crazy is that the Idaho Falls library is my favorite! It’s not as beautiful as the Provo, Utah library but I love it most. These are the reasons: I love the IFPL hold system. You can put any number of books, or up to 10 movies per card on hold (even if they’re not already checked out), and a librarian will go get the book for you or when someone returns the item, the library will hold them for you for a week. You don’t even have to go searching for them. Secondly, there’s no late fees! You can’t check anything else out until you return an item that’s late, but you also don’t have to stress if you can’t get a book to the library on a certain date. Lastly, they have a great summer reading program for kids! I do wish they’d open a little earlier but it’s my favorite library by far and I’ve been to a lot!!
